Why migrate

Switching vaults shouldn't cost you customers

Re-collecting cards kills conversion and breaks recurring billing. A proper vault-to-vault migration moves everything behind the scenes — so the switch is invisible to customers.

No re-collection

Existing cards move as tokens — you never ask customers to re-enter their details.

No downtime

Payments keep running throughout, with a controlled cutover to the new vault.

Recurring intact

Card-on-file and subscription billing continue without failed or interrupted charges.

Move into the EU

Bring card data into European data centres for EU residency and simpler GDPR.

Better economics

Switch to transparent interchange++ pricing and an independent, portable vault.

Always secure

Data only ever moves between PCI DSS Level 1 environments — never through your systems.

How it works

A controlled, secure cutover

01

Plan & scope

We map your current vault, token format and recurring flows, and agree a cutover plan.

02

Secure transfer

Your current provider sends card data directly to our PCI DSS Level 1 vault — never via your systems.

03

Re-tokenize

Cards are re-tokenized in the new vault and mapped to your records, with validation checks.

04

Go live

We switch over with no downtime, and your payments run on the new vault from day one.

FAQ

Vault migration, answered

01 What is a PCI vault migration?

A vault migration moves your stored card data from one PCI-compliant provider to another. Card data is transferred securely between PCI DSS Level 1 environments and re-tokenized in the new vault, so you switch providers without ever exposing card numbers to your own systems.

02 Do customers have to re-enter their cards?

No. That's the whole point of a vault-to-vault migration. Existing cards move across as tokens behind the scenes, so customers don't notice anything and recurring or card-on-file payments keep working.

03 Is there downtime during migration?

No. Migrations are planned so your payments keep running throughout. We import the data, validate the tokens and switch over in a controlled cutover, with no interruption to live recurring billing.

04 Which providers can you migrate from?

We migrate from any PCI-compliant vault or processor — including gateways, dedicated vault vendors and acquirers. We handle the secure transfer and re-tokenization, and we make leaving us just as easy if you ever need to.
